Meet Our Minister
Rev. Victoria B. Griffin is a 7th generation Texan and was born in Houston,
Texas. She earned her B. Mus. Degree in Voice Performance from the University of
Texas at San Antonio. She also has a Master of Arts from St. Edwards in Austin. Her
M. Div. is from Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary.
Rev. Griffin is an active member of Grace Presbytery and currently serves on its
Committee on Preparation for Ministry. She is a member of the Ministerial Alliance and
serves on the Board for H.O.P.E. (Helping Others Pursue Enrichment), a nonprofit
organization which seeks to minister to people and provide a hand up, enabling people to experience the joy of
what God has created for them.
In the words of Rev. Griffin, “Life has been an interesting journey and I continue
to be grateful for the way God allows me to share.” She has been Minister of Word and
Sacrament at First Presbyterian Church in Jacksonville, Texas since 2008.
Kathy Barker has been the church secretary and administrative assistant since 2009. In
addition to her office and organizational skills, she also has bookkeeping experience.
She enjoys meeting people and always has a smile on her face.
A resident of Jacksonville since 1985, Kathy is a member of Mt. Selman Methodist
Church. She also has a daughter named Micah.
All who call our church are cheered by the warmth in Kathy's voice at the end of the
Maria and Tino have been working for our Church for several years. And their work is excellent.
Any time we need them to come in, we know that we can always count on them.
